The academic report of our sanitary pad work has now appeared in PloS. The whole team is very pleased about this because it will extend the reach of our work and can be used to support government and donor initiatives to supply pads.
We are especially happy, however, that Paul Montgomery was invited to talk about the project and its implications on Voice of America radio. Paul was given time to be able to describe the linkages between menstruation knowledge, sanitary practices, fertility, and economic development. Voice of America is, of course, heard around the world, so will further extend the impact of the findings.
Since the post-2015 Millennium Development Goals are, right now, being redrafted in London, we are grateful for the timing of this publication and the accompanying news.
