FT Can Only Find Four Women Fit for the A-List

Writer's picture: Linda ScottLinda Scott

My daughter, Caitlin, recently sent me a link to a blog by Jeffrey Sachs about the lack of morals in today’s capitalism. She offered, as a side note, that the Financial Times has launched this “A-List” of bloggers with much fanfare, but there are some 43 men and only four women. “You would think they would be embarrassed by that,” she writes. Indeed, you would.

In an environment where many are speculating that the financial crisis might have been avoided had there been more women in finance and others suggest that companies with women on their boards perform better, it is simply incredible that the Financial Times would not have tried a little harder.
