MiKaela Wardlaw Lemmon is responsible for Women’s Economic Empowerment, specifically focused on Walmart’s Sourcing goals for empowering women worldwide. Her responsibilities include three elements of Women’s Economic Empowerment: 1) Sourcing $20B for the U.S. from women-owned businesses by 2016 2) Establishing a baseline of women owned business spend and doubling that spend by 2016 for international markets 3) Launching a dedicated women owned/produced product marketplace, Empowering Women Together, on Walmart’s e-commerce platform.
