The United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel for Women’s Economic Empowerment presented its second report to the UN Secretary-General on March 14th in New York City, held in context of the sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61). The HLP, created by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in January 2016, aims at placing women’s economic empowerment at the top of the global agenda to accelerate progress under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The ultimate goal of this 2nd report, the High-Level Panel and the Sustainable Development Agenda is a world where women have their rights recognized and are empowered to be free and equal participants in a robust, inclusive and sustainable global economy. Read the 2nd report here and learn how you can accelerate women in your organization.
